A storm may break a house, but it should never break a spirit. We stand on the front lines, ensuring that even in the darkest hours of a natural calamity, no one is left to face the rain alone.
“Jeevidham Trust: Your Shield in the Storm, Your Strength in the Struggle.”
At Jeevidham Trust, we believe that the true test of an organization is its ability to act when a crisis strikes. In the face of natural calamities and unforeseen disasters, we transform into a Rapid Response Team, ensuring that the most vulnerable populations are not left to face the storm alone.
Our Frontline Response Record
COVID-19 Health & Survival Initiatives: During the critical phases of the pandemic, we didn’t just provide food; we provided protection.
1. Vaccination Drives: We successfully organized a COVID-19 2nd Dose Vaccination Drive at Melakottaiyur and Keelakottaiyur, ensuring that rural communities had safe and easy access to their life-saving shots.
2. Essential Supplies: We distributed Basic Medicines, Fresh Vegetables, and Groceries to families under lockdown, ensuring that health and nutrition were maintained even when markets were closed.
2023 Cyclone Relief (Kasimedu): When the devastating cyclone of 2023 hit the coast, we focused our efforts on the Fishermen communities at Kasimedu.
1. Emergency Shelter: We distributed high-quality Tarpaulin roofing to families whose coastal homes were battered by the winds, providing them with immediate dry shelter.
2. Clothing & Provisions: We provided clean clothes and dry rations to those who lost their belongings to the sea and rain.
Rapid Distribution Networks: From the streets of Chennai to remote blocks in Chengalpattu, our volunteers ensure that Food, Water, and Basic Medical Supplies reach the hands of the “last person in the line” during every flood and emergency.
When the Storm Hits, we are Ready.
Disasters don’t give a warning, but our relief funds allow us to be prepared. Your contribution to our Crisis Fund ensures that we have the stock of food, tarpaulins, and medicines ready to be deployed the moment a calamity is declared.
1. ₹2,000 – Provides an Emergency Survival Kit for a displaced family.
2. ₹5,000 – Funds Tarpaulin Roofing for fishermen families in coastal areas.
