Welfare for the Underprivileged: A Shield for the Vulnerable

At Jeevidham Trust, we believe that no human being should be defined by their poverty. While our specialized programs focus on long-term growth, our General Welfare initiatives act as an immediate safety net. We reach into the deepest pockets of rural and urban poverty to ensure that the basic rights of survival—food, clothing, and shelter—are met with dignity.

Our Core Welfare & Rehabilitation Projects

Our work is defined by our commitment to reaching the most marginalized tribal and nomadic communities:

   Irular Community Empowerment: We have a deep connection with the Irular community, providing consistent support through the distribution of food, clothing, and essential groceries. 

  Shelter & Infrastructure: Recognizing the need for safe housing, we provided Tarpaulin roofing for all families in the Irular community to protect them from the elements. Most significantly, we constructed a permanent home for a destitute family in Idaiyur, moving them from vulnerability to safety.

   Support for Traditional Artists: We provide specialized grocery support for Kalai Koothadigal (traditional street performers), ensuring that these keepers of our culture are not left to go hungry in their times of need.

   Wide-Reach Material Distribution: Our relief drives extend across the region, including large-scale Rice Bag distribution at Keerapakkam and Welfare Material distribution at Unamancheri, reaching hundreds of families in a single day.

   Emergency Relief: From providing blankets in winter to ensuring clean water and sanitation kits during monsoons, we act as a first responder for the underprivileged.
